WHAT IS A NERD?

The Urban Dictionary defines a nerd as "a person who is intensely interested in a particular hobby or topic" and/or "a person who gains pleasure from amassing large quantities of knowledge about subjects often too detailed or complicated for most other people to be bothered with." For purposes of this site, it should be stressed that those nerd hobbies, topics and subjects are related to recreation, fascination, entertainment, and general fun.

WHAT IS A NERDIVORE?

Admit it: You are a nerd.

It's OK - there are millions, maybe even billions, of nerds on this planet. There are movie nerds, and pet nerds, and conspiracy theory nerds and TV show nerds, and video game nerds. There are nerds who love the 1980s, and nerds who love to read instruction manuals for their cameras. There are nerds everywhere - and most nerds are NERDIVORES: They like to consume all things nerd.

For years, nerds have been oppressed and pushed underground. But no more. This is the home base for a Nerd Renaissance.

So again, just admit it: You are a huge nerd, and love to consume all things nerd. You are, in short, a NERDIVORE.

This is very much in Beta format - and won't be formally/officially launched until the summer of 2009. This site is run by a lifelong (though only recently admitted) nerd - a person who has learned over many painful years of nerd denial, that he is, in fact, a voracious nerdivore and, indeed, comes from a prestigious lineage of nerds.
